The firsts progressed to the last 16 of the Junior Shield with a 3-0 victory over Bangor Rangers seconds. The lads were 2 up at the break with strikes from Ruiari McArdle and Paddy Keown. They played some sublime stuff in the second half and It should have been much more but the lads struck the bar and post on several occasions, Daniel Morgan eventually rounded off the scoring. The town were without Donagh Steele and Liam McKibben due to work commitments and Barry Travers (pictured) will be out for the forseeable future after suffering a serious accident at work and everybody at the club wishes him a speedy recovery.
