A disappointing weekend with the first’s Junior Shield match being called off by the referee half an hour before kick off although I would suggest that we have all played on much worse. The seconds game against Valley Rangers also fell foul of the weather.
The only team in action last weekend were the under 12s who were defeated 2-1 in their cup semi final against a good Patrician team. It was 1-1 at half time with Eoin O’Hare the town’s marksman. Despite good efforts from O’Hare and Doyle in the second half the Downpatrick side did just enough to win but it was an encouraging performance from our lads. Darragh Corrigan (pictured) was man of the match.
There will be another poker night at the end of February watch this space for further details.
The club would like to send it’s condolences to the Cassidy family on their recent bereavement.
