v Lisburn Youth
We won! 🎉The 2009 Town lads made it two wins from two last weekend with a good, hard-fought victory over a physical Lisburn Youth side. It was a proper battle from start to finish, and the boys stood up to everything that came their way.

This was a really strong team performance right across the pitch, with every player putting in a shift to keep the winning start going. Zach and Eoin did the damage on the scoresheet, and man of the match Conor capped a great day. Keep it going, lads — two from two and building nicely!

Town
v Moneyslane
Hard luck — great effort! 👏The 2011 Town lads played out another competitive game against Moneyslane last weekend, and on another day it could well have gone their way. The boys got off to a good start, with James stretching the opposition back line and causing all sorts of problems, earning a couple of corners inside the opening ten minutes. When Moneyslane came back into it with chances of their own, our defence stood strong and dealt with everything thrown at them, and the sides went in level at the break with everything still to play for.

The second half was just as competitive, with chances at both ends and Copey moving outfield as Rhyan took over in nets — great versatility from both. The final stages saw the lads really put Moneyslane under pressure, winning corners, whipping balls into the box and forcing the ball over the line in a goalmouth scramble with just minutes to go. They threw everything forward at the death and had the opposition hanging on at the final whistle. The result didn't fall our way, but the character and effort of this group says everything — heads up lads, keep going!

v Ballymacash
Hard luck — great effort! 👏The 2012 Town side finally got their season up and running last weekend with their first match, taking on Ballymacash. The result didn't go our way on the day, but with this being the lads' first competitive outing of the season there were still some good moments and plenty of positives to take away and build on.
💬 Coach's report
The next few matches in this division of the supplementary league will be challenging, and the aim is simple — be competitive in every one of them. The squad will only get stronger over the coming weeks as Gaelic commitments wind up and more of the lads return, and with a few weeks of sharpening up, this group will be in good shape for the main league phase. Onwards and upwards, boys!

v Ballymacash Rangers
Hard luck — great effort! 👏The 2013 Town lads were up bright and early for a 9am kick-off in Moira against Ballymacash Rangers last weekend. It was a tough day at the office against a good side, but there was plenty of fight in the performance. Odhran got the boys going with a moment of real persistence, bullying his way down the right and getting an effort away that found its way into the net — exactly the kind of determination this group is known for.

The second half was where the lads really showed their character, coming out much stronger and taking the game to Rangers. Zach rose highest to head in from a corner off the underside of the bar, and Jack followed it up with a tidy finish lifted over the keeper as the pressure kept coming. The boys pushed right to the end, creating a series of headed chances from corners and crosses, with Jack forcing a great save from the opposition keeper. The result didn't reflect the spirit of that fightback — plenty to build on, and this group will come back stronger. Well done, lads!

v Banbridge Town
Hard luck — great effort! 👏The 2016 Town boys took on top-of-the-table Banbridge Town last weekend, and when asked for 100% effort, they gave exactly that. The lads started strong, winning tackles all over the pitch and putting Banbridge on the back foot from the off. The moment of the day belonged to Cian — after a kick-out from Brian Óg bounced around the halfway line, he spotted the keeper off his line and couldn't have hit it any better, sending it over the keeper's head and in under the crossbar. An absolute wonder goal!
💬 Coach's report
The boys came out strong again in the second half, with Leo winning the midfield battle and Brian Óg and the lads at the back looking unbeatable for long spells. Though the result didn't quite go our way against a very good side, the boys tried hard right to the final whistle, and the performance is what stands out. Man of the match Rory summed it all up — some great tackles and he never gave up. Well done, boys!
Forest
v Warrenpoint Colts
We drew 🤝What a game from the 2016 Forest boys last weekend against Warrenpoint Colts! Lorcan got us off to a flying start with a brilliant lob over the keeper, and Tino was on the mark too as the lads played some superb stuff. Warrenpoint fought their way back into a real end-to-end contest, but the boys came out strong in the second half and Finn found the back of the net with time running out to cap a terrific team display.

The lads defended brilliantly under pressure in a dramatic finish, with Warrenpoint striking with the very last kick of the game to share the spoils. We couldn't be prouder — every single one of them gave everything from start to finish. It's brilliant to see the boys enjoying their football, learning every week and improving all the time. Plenty of positives to take forward — well done, boys!
Colts
Hard luck — great effort! 👏The 2016 Colts faced a tough test last weekend, taking the field with just eight players and no subs — and every single one of them gave it their best as they always do. Playing the whole game without a break is a big ask at any age, and the boys ran themselves into the ground for the team.
💬 Coach's report
Despite tired legs, the lads kept pushing forward and did well to create chances and get shots away at goal. Days like this are where character is built, and this group showed bucketloads of it. A special well done to Cohan, who put in a huge effort from first whistle to last. Proud of every one of you, boys!

Town
v Windmill Stars
Hard luck — great effort! 👏The 2017 Town lads served up a very competitive and enjoyable game of football against Windmill Stars last weekend — two energetic, skilful and very evenly matched teams who will probably cross paths again this season. Although the result didn't go our way, the boys played fast-flowing football using the full width of the pitch exactly as planned, backed by a very strong defensive display from Adam and Cillian. Both goalkeepers had great games, and they needed to, because the energy and effort on show was excellent from start to finish. Caoimhin was desperately unlucky not to get on the scoresheet — keep getting into those positions and the goals will come.

Our boys never stopped running and kept creating great chances right to the end. Captain Tibby put in another all-action performance, but the unanimous man of the match was Reon, with one of the best individual displays we've seen this season — like Action Man, he covered every blade of grass, played every position and was powerful, determined and skilful throughout.
A young Roy Keane in the making! Well done Reon and all the boys — keep up this attitude and effort and the results are going to come.
Forest
v Ballymacash Rangers
Hard luck — great effort! 👏The 2017 Forest squad were up early on Saturday for the trip to Lisburn to take on Ballymacash Rangers, and they can be really proud of how they went toe to toe with a strong side. The early stages were even, with Forest carving out several good chances, and goalkeeper Jaxon was in fine form with a string of great saves. Best of all, the boys' spirits never dipped — they just kept playing.

The second half saw the lads playing with real belief, backing each other up, pushing forward and putting the opposition under sustained pressure, with some lovely football along the way. That pressure paid off when Cody smashed one into the roof of the net — a goal his work rate and skill thoroughly deserved. Despite the step up to the Lisburn league and a small squad on the day, this group keeps holding its own, and if they keep starting like they've been finishing, the results will surely follow. A big thank you to the Town squad for their support, especially Liam, who bolstered the squad and played fantastically — unlucky not to get on the scoresheet himself. Captain Caelan capped it all with a man-of-the-match display, controlling the middle of the pitch, covering his defence and threading some lovely through balls. He never shied away once — well done, lad!

💬 Coach's report
The 2018 Town boys were unreal last weekend, producing some of the best football we've seen them play across three games against Carryduff, Ballymacash and Crewe United. In the first two games the lads moved the ball beautifully — triangle passes, long passes, through balls and some ruthless finishing — with one opposition coach saying afterwards that our squad is riddled with talent. Football like that is a joy to watch at any age.
The Crewe United game was a tighter affair, but our lads were the better team and forced a pile of saves from the Crewe keeper, who was absolutely fantastic on the day. Man of the match Thomas was everywhere, picking the ball up all over the pitch, quickly switching play to players in space and making himself a general nuisance for the opposition. Brilliant to watch from start to finish — and this group just keeps working hard at training. Well done, boys!

v Lower Maze, Lisburn Youth and Newtownbreda

💬 Coach's report
The 2018 Forest boys had a full day of football last weekend with three games against Lower Maze, Lisburn Youth and Newtownbreda. The opener was a tough test against a very good side, but the lads played some good football at times and got themselves on the scoresheet. The Lisburn Youth game was the pick of the day — a great back-and-forth contest that would have needed goal-line technology at times! Harry had a fine game in goal, some great last-ditch tackles from Jack and Lorcan kept Forest right in it, and Zach, Lorcan and Alfie all found the net, with Alfie's left-foot finish a particular highlight and Lorcan applying a lovely finish to a great team move set up by Zach.
The final game against Newtownbreda saw plenty more to be proud of, even if the result didn't quite reflect the performance. Harry was tireless throughout, Jack came on and patrolled the backline brilliantly, and a great strike from Conor plus a poacher's finish from Zach gave the supporters plenty to cheer. Zach just pipped Harry to the top honours this week after a brilliant all-round day. Well done, boys — plenty of learning and even more to build on!

💬 Coach's report
The 2018 Colts had a busy day of football last weekend with three hard-fought games against Oxford Sunnyside Tornadoes, Newtownbreda FC Jets and Rosario Roses. The opening game saw the lads start brightly as the better side, with Alex desperately unlucky to hit the woodwork more than once, and a special mention to Jude, who marked a great start to life with the Colts by popping in a goal. Noah capped a battling display by scoring straight after winning the ball with a great tackle, while he, Alex and Donnacha fought for every ball and picked up a few knocks for their efforts — that's commitment! Cormac worked his socks off in midfield with good help from Oryn.
The second game was another close one where the boys created loads of chances and kept the opposition keeper busy, with Logan getting his reward for a tireless display and the woodwork denying us once again — a performance full of positives. The final game was the best of the day: every player tackled hard and moved the ball well, Donnacha was great in nets, Jude stood solid in defence, and Logan was everywhere again and got on the scoresheet. Congratulations to Logan on
Player of the Week — solid in nets in the first game before really finding his form outfield, working for everything and putting the opposition under pressure all day.

Town
Fun football — no scores kept, loads of smiles! ⚽The 2019 Town side had a good day of football last weekend, showing real strength on the ball with some lovely passing and solid defending across three games. The opening match was an evenly balanced affair that could have gone either way, but the boys stayed strong and dug out the win. The second game was a tougher test against a good side, and though things didn't quite click, the lads kept going right to the end.
💬 Coach's report
The third game showed exactly what this group is made of — they didn't let the previous match get into their heads and came out on fire, finding space, stringing together lovely one-touch passing and scoring some cracking goals on their way to another win. Captain Shea controlled things brilliantly as a real all-rounder, dropping into defence when needed and setting up goals. Man of the match Daithi worked hard all day, showing great strength at the back and getting himself on the scoresheet. Excellent teamwork, boys — well done!
Forest
Fun football — no scores kept, loads of smiles! ⚽The 2019 Colts made the trip to Lisburn last weekend for two very tough games, but the boys didn't let that stop them. They played some lovely football, moving the ball around with good passes and working brilliantly as a team from start to finish.
💬 Coach's report
Captain Liam led the side superbly, playing well in every position and showing great leadership before the matches got underway. Wyatt was named man of the match after defending the net with his life — he played every position well and listened throughout. Very proud of these boys — well done everyone!
Colts

The opening match was a very even affair that could have gone either way, with the lads giving as good as they got right to the final whistle. The second game was the highlight of the day — every single player worked hard and got their rewards, with some brilliant goals capping off a superb team performance.

The final game came against a very strong side, but captain Ollie stood up when it mattered and got himself on the scoresheet. A special mention to our three keepers, who made some brilliant saves throughout the day. Congratulations to Senan on being named Player of the Week — some well-taken finishes saw him just edge it. This group keeps growing every week, and they'll be back at it with smiles on their faces.
