5–4
Downpatrick II
- Sean Fitzsimmons
- Eoin Travers
- Sean Dornan

The seconds played out a thoroughly entertaining nine goal thriller against a very good Downpatrick 2nds side to progress to the last 8 of the Bobby Dalzell. The boys twice came back from behind in the first half thanks to goals from Eoin Travers and Sean Dornan. A great team goal saw Sean Fitzsimmons tap home just before the break to put the lads 3-2 up.

The boys played some great football at the start of the second half and further extended their goals thanks to goals from Fitzy and big Danny. Several good chances were missed to put the game beyond doubt and the visitors made it a nervous finish with two late goals but the lads saw it out to progress to the next round. The quarter final will see us welcome Ballyvea 3rds to Corrigan Park on 7th November.
Before that the boys host Ballynahinch Utd Swifts next weekend in the league and travel to Dervock in the Junior Shield on the 31st Oct.
