Sorry for the lack of notes etc this last couple of weeks but as you will be aware there has been very little football so therefore very little to report.
Firstly we would like to thank everyone who attended or helped at ‘The night at the races’ recently all contributed to a great nights craic and thanks also to everyone’s generosity, thankfully most people appreciate what it costs to run a successful football club. Thanks also to Brian for his generosity and help.
The next ‘Texas Hold-em’ will be on Saturday 28th November at 7-30 sharp, after the success of last months event it is hoped for a bumper crowd, as this will be the last card game this year.
Don’t forget you can get your tote tickets from any committee member, the next draw is on Saturday night and the prizemoney at present is £600 for two numbers and £1100 for three numbers – that would be a nice wee lift in the run up to Christmas!
Talking about Christmas, it is hoped to run a general knowledge quiz as opposed to a sports quiz on Boxing Day, preceded hopefully by a friendly match out the road (any club member can play) to run off a few extra pounds that may have accumulated over the festive season.
