For the first time in it’s 22 year history the Peter Corrigan Memorial Cup fell foul of the weather and has had to be shelved. The heavy and frequent rain meant that the council had no alternative but to close the pitches. However plans are afoot to revamp it drastically for next year so that it will be completed over two Saturdays and in a format that will give participants more game time.
One tournament that will definitely not fall to the elements will be this Saturdays under 12 Kieran Toner Memorial Cup which is scheduled to take place on the new 3G pitch at the Castlewellan Community Centre, Registrations must be in by 12.15 with the action due to begin at 1pm.
First team training set for Thursday evening at 7pm, contact Zoom for details.
